Who Is 21 Savage? His Age, Background, Music Career And Personal Life

Alright, let's dive into the world of 21 Savage, the guy who's been making waves in the music scene. You might be wondering, who is this dude, and why's he got everyone talking?

So, who's 21 Savage?

Well, let's start with the basics. His real name is Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph, and he's a rapper from the ATL - that's Atlanta, Georgia for those not in the know. Born on October 22, 1992, he's not actually 21 anymore, he's 29, but hey, we'll get to that.

Now, you might be thinking, "How did a kid from Atlanta become a big deal in the music world?" Well, let's take a little trip down memory lane.

From the A to the top

21 Savage grew up in the heart of Atlanta, and like many of us, he had his fair share of ups and downs. His dad's from the UK, and his mom's from Atlanta, so he's got a bit of a mixed bag of influences. He's been open about his past, talking about how he's been in and out of trouble, but that's all water under the bridge now.

His music career kicked off in 2015 with his first mixtape, The Slaughter Tape. It was a hit, and it wasn't long before he started making a name for himself. He's got that unique flow, you know? It's like he's telling stories from the streets, but in a way that makes you nod your head and want to listen closer.

His big break came with his 2016 single, "X". It was a massive hit, and it wasn't long before he was collaborating with some of the biggest names in the game. We're talking Metro Boomin, Drake, and even Post Malone.

But wait, isn't he British?

You might have heard that 21 Savage is actually British. Well, that's a bit of a story. Turns out, he was born in the UK, but he moved to the US when he was just a kid. He's been living in Atlanta for most of his life, so he considers himself American. But hey, who are we to argue with that?

Now, you might be wondering about the whole "21" thing. Why not just use his real name? Well, it turns out, he got the name "21" when he was younger, after a friend of his who was killed. It's a way for him to remember his friend and the struggles he's been through.

Life off the stage

When he's not in the studio or on stage, 21 Savage is all about giving back to his community. He's started a few initiatives to help kids in Atlanta, like his "21 Savage Bank Account" program, which helps kids learn about financial literacy. Pretty cool, huh?

He's also been open about his immigration struggles. As someone who's been in and out of trouble with the law, he's had to deal with some tough times with immigration. But he's not letting it stop him. He's using his platform to raise awareness about immigration issues and to help others who are going through the same thing.

So there you have it, folks. That's 21 Savage in a nutshell. He's come a long way from his days in Atlanta, and he's not showing any signs of slowing down. Whether you're a fan of his music or not, you've got to admit, the guy's got a pretty interesting story.

And hey, if you ever see him, don't ask him about his age. We all know he's not 21 anymore. But who's counting, right?
