How Old Is Lamar Jackson? His Age And Football Career Milestones

So, you're curious about Lamar Jackson, huh? The guy's been making waves in the NFL, and you wanna know how old he is and what he's accomplished, right? Let's dive in, grab a coffee, and chat about it.

How Old Is Lamar Jackson, Anyway?

Alright, let's get the age thing out of the way. As of 2023, Lamar is 26 years young. Born on January 7, 1997, in Pompano Beach, Florida, he's basically still a baby in NFL years, isn't he? I mean, some of his teammates are old enough to be his dads!

But hey, don't let his age fool you. This guy's got more talent and drive than players twice his age. Now, let's talk football, shall we?

From College to the Pros

Lamar's college career was nothing short of electric. He played for the Louisville Cardinals from 2015 to 2017. In his junior year, he won the Heisman Trophy, becoming the youngest recipient ever. Not too shabby, huh?

But wait, there's more! He also set the NCAA total QBR record with a whopping 98.0. I mean, who does that? Oh, right. Lamar does.

NFL Draft and Baltimore Ravens

In 2018, Lamar was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens with the 32nd overall pick. Talk about a steal! The Ravens must've been doing some serious celebrating that day. I mean, who wouldn't want this guy on their team?

Lamar's rookie season was... interesting. He started just seven games, but he made them count. He threw for 1,201 yards and ran for another 695. Not bad for a rookie, right?

Lamar's Rise to Stardom

In 2019, Lamar took the league by storm. He became the second player in NFL history to pass for 3,000 yards and rush for 1,000 in the same season. The other guy? Michael Vick. Yeah, Lamar's in some pretty elite company now.

But here's the kicker - Lamar did it all while leading his team to a 14-2 record and a spot in the divisional round of the playoffs. Not too shabby for a second-year player, huh?

MVP Magic

2019 was also the year Lamar won the MVP award. At just 22 years old, he became the youngest player to win the honor. I mean, can this guy do anything wrong?

He beat out some pretty stiff competition too - guys like Aaron Donald, Russell Wilson, and even his own teammate, quarterback Lamar Jackson. Just kidding, that last one's not true. Yet.

Injuries and Comebacks

Lamar's had his fair share of injuries, but he always bounces back. In 2021, he missed some time with an ankle injury. Then, in 2022, he was sidelined with a knee injury. But you know what they say - what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Or something like that.

Each time he's come back, he's been better than ever. And let's not forget, he led the Ravens to the playoffs in both of those seasons. That's just plain impressive.

Record-Breaking Lamar

Lamar's already broken a bunch of records, and he's not even 30 yet! He's the youngest player in NFL history to reach 10,000 passing yards and 4,000 rushing yards. And he's the only player ever to have multiple seasons with at least 35 passing touchdowns and 5 rushing touchdowns.

Oh, and he's the Ravens' all-time leader in passing yards and touchdown passes. Not bad for a guy who's only been in the league for five years, huh?

What's Next for Lamar?

Who knows what the future holds for Lamar? But one thing's for sure - he's not slowing down anytime soon. He's got his sights set on another MVP award, another Super Bowl win, and maybe even a few more records.

So, there you have it - Lamar Jackson's age, his incredible football career milestones, and a whole lot of awesome in between. Now, who's ready for some more coffee?
